Version: Version 1.3 Using KDE 4.3.2 (KDE 4.3.2) (using KDE 4.3.2) OS: Linux Installed from: Mandriva RPMs Using F1 or Help->Dolphin Handbook brings up the Dolphin Handbook Contents page, however all the entries fail and point to (as indicated on the status bar) file:///var/tmp/kdecache-baz/krun/introdution.html etc. and produce a "File or folder does not exist" error if clicked. If I go to the left side pane of khelp and click Application Manuals->Tools->System Tools->Dolphin. and mouse over the same entries as before then "help:/dolphin/introduction.html" etc. is displayed in the status and it works fine.
This also applies to Kate and Systemsettings & maybe other applications. Seems to affect 4.3.5 as well. If the side pane contents tree expands to highlight the application that called the helpcenter, then it works correctly (as in ksnapshot) but if the tree remains collapsed then the links are wrong.
I don't think it's a bug...@Barry. I had the exact same problem, and somehow corrected it after monkeying around with the app and path. On restart, worked as expected. Check your installation again.
It's not on all systems I'll agree, but there are several people with this issue. I re-installed all of KDE 4.3.2. after testing this with 4.3.5. Another chap has just done a clean install and is seeing it. What did your "monkeying around with the app and path" involve? My PATH is pretty standard :- /usr/bin:/bin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/X11R6/bin/:/usr/games:/usr/lib/qt4/bin I have tried as different user - even deleted .kde4 at one point. What else to try?
We are not able to reproduce it with KDE 4.5 SC. Are you still able to reproduce it with a newer version?
Can anyone still reproduce this issue? If not, I'll close this soon-ish.
No response -> closing. If you can still reproduce this behavior with the newest version of Dolphin, please reopen this bug.
