Description Magnes 2010-01-01 10:47:08 UTC
When you right click on an album there is no option to fetch a cover even if the album doesn't have one.
Comment 1 Mikko C. 2010-01-03 18:03:20 UTC
Works just fine in amarok from git master. Both in the Collection browser and playlist the option is there.
Can you make a screenshot of the menu dialog?
Comment 2 Magnes 2010-01-04 17:11:08 UTC
The bug is only in unified view. That's probably why you didn't noticed it.

You should have been more specific then. I'm not sure if this bug is valid, since unified view should also contain Media devices collections, for which I don't think cover handling is implemented yet. Let's see what Max says.

"You should have been more specific then." - I noticed the difference only now you know. :>

"I'm not sure if this bug is valid" - it is. It is a usability bug because there is no way to set covers without opening cover editor (where you need to search for the album second time) when you are in unified view.
Just show it for tracks for which handling covers is possible and hide for others. Simple as that.

There is more usability bugs in Amarok 2.x (especcially with "not unified" look - which is cluttered and looks like another regresion) but I feel like you don't want them to be reported so I'll leave it. And probably the best way to fix them anyway is to delete Amarok 2.x and just use Amarok 1.4.

yep, I simply forgot to implement the necessary code in the ProxyAlbum class.

This is solved in current Amarok 2.2.3-git
