Description Matěj Laitl 2009-12-16 23:36:35 UTC
Version: 2.2.2-beta1 (using KDE 4.3.4)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages

Some background info:
Amarok 1.4 apparently tracks also music files outside of its collection folders once played, it for example remembers ratings and labels assigned to these files.

Bug/wish:
The collection importer of amarok 2.2.2-beta1 apparently imports all existing files from the old collection. Therefore, even tracks that are outside of current collection folders are shown in Amarok 2.2 collection and randomly played, which is undesirable.

It would be cool if user could control if she wants to import all songs or just the ones that fall under collection folders. (RFC: should we use new (Amarok 2), old (Amarok 1.4) collection folders or their union?)

I will maybe get to implementing this, however I'd need a hint how to query whether a given filename should belong into collection.
