Version: (using KDE 4.3.1) OS: Linux Installed from: Mandriva RPMs the Amarok solid action ( amarok-play-audiocd.desktop ) call amarok --cdplay %u but the cdplay argument doesn't exist amarok: Unknown option 'cdplay'.
I guess you talk about version 2.2.0, right? You mean you can't play a CD? Strange, as it works fine here.
I just asked te reporter on #amarok
This is a valid issue. The problem is when inserting a cd and selecting "Amarok" in the device notification applet for instance. I will fix this, but it might require a bit of work as the CD collection ahs the get started before we can do anything.
Nikolaj, is this fixed?
Any news on this?
Setting target.
Kubuntu Karmic 9.10 Version 4.3.5 (KDE 4.3.5) This problem with Amarok not launching from the Device Notifier widget is still present. I think it is more than just the incorrect command option for the Play Audio CD with Amarok entry in System Settings > Advanced > Device Actions. There it is listed as: amarok --cdplay %u --cdplay is not a listed option in amarok Version 2.2.0. -p or --play is, but those don't work either if the command entry is changed to either - I've tried. What's the solution, and more importantly, when will it be implemented?

This makes the solid action work as intended. commit 501fedb7151946563bcb8c7b58b6f4254372e8b2 Author: Nikolaj Hald Nielsen <nhnFreespirit@gmail.com> Date: Sat Feb 6 13:16:04 2010 +0100 Initial work on making the solid action for playing audio cd's using Amarok work. The action now correctly shows up in the device notifier, and it works if Amarok is already running and has had time to add the audiocd collection
