Version: (using KDE 4.3.0) Installed from: SuSE RPMs Changed the phonon backend from amarok and then I lost sound output. Also, while changing the backend, the playlist advanced several tracks automatically (probably from errors in playback).
Forgot to include version: 2.2-GIT
I don't think it's supposed to work. See this related comment: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=203350#c1 You could try opening a bug for Phonon about this.
Reassigning to Phonon. It could be a duplicate of verious bugs there: bug 203350 or bug 192378
From your description I think this is simple due to you not having the necessary codecs for the other backend. Since both backends use different packages for the ffmpeg codecs, you need to install those. Else, this would be a duplicate of bug 192378
Hi, don't think its a codec issue because if I restart amarok, then everything works again. I tried this again, and now amarok crashes when i change the backend to Gstreamer and then back to Xine again. The track skipping problem is still present.
