Description GArik 2009-08-14 16:01:05 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.4)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Slackware Packages

KDE multimedia applications: Amarok, Juk, Kaffeine are unable to play chained ogg vorbis files. Only first part is played. Works fine with mplayer.

To create a chained ogg vorbis file use:
cat sample1.ogg sample2.ogg > test.ogg

Which backend are you using? Also, is this reproducible with current KDE 4.3.3?

Thank you for the feedback
Comment 4 Myriam Schweingruber 2010-04-06 13:08:16 UTC
Is this still valid with KDE SC 4.4.2/Phonon 4.4.0?
Comment 5 Myriam Schweingruber 2010-07-19 15:26:26 UTC
Still reproducible with KDE SC 4.4.92
Comment 6 Myriam Schweingruber 2011-06-07 23:30:08 UTC
Please use another backend, the xine backend is deprecated as the upstream development is stalled.

You can choose between the gstreamer backend or the vlc backend, both are actively developed and maintained.

Closing correctly, sorry for the noise.
