Description Ramón Zarazúa 2009-08-08 21:40:40 UTC
Version:           2.1.1 (using KDE 4.3.0)
Compiler:          g++ 4.3.2
OS:                Linux
Installed from:    SuSE RPMs

After Amarok is launched on a new session, sound from flash movies does not play anymore, even after closing Amarok. I tried with different media players in KDE, and this only happens with Amarok. In order to hear flash movies the session must be restarted.

I can't reproduce this with current Amarok 2.2-git, build of today, using the phonon xine backend. FWIW, Amarok doesn't handle sound itself, it let's phonon do the work. Also, Flash is known to cause quite a few bugs.
Works fine here with Konqueror, KDE 4.3 in Kubuntu 9.04.

Could it be an OpenSuSE bug then? I am using Phonon 4.3.1
Comment 3 Myriam Schweingruber 2009-08-12 10:46:39 UTC
Well, the Phonon version is certainly the same on every kde 4.3. I use flash only in Konqueror, rarely works well in Firefox, some poeple use Opera instead.
I think it is much more flash related than anything else. Certainly not an Amarok bug.

Resolved by a Bug report found in OpenSuSE bugzilla. The problem was caused by libflashsupport.
