Version: 1.3 (using 4.3.00 (KDE 4.3.0), Debian packages) Compiler: cc OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.30-4.slh.1-sidux-686 When displaying small YAML files in Dolphin, Dolphin mistakes them for patch files. I have attached one problematic files for demonstration.
Created attachment 35916 [details] YAML test case
Created attachment 66701 [details] information about that YAML file in dolphin 1.99 In the screenshot, although dolphin doesn't see that YAML file as a patch, it still lists some entries which are only meaningful to a patch .
Still reproduciable using KDE SC 4.9.0 .
Hm, I don't really think it's Dolphin's fault. Probably the mime-type detection goes wrong.
Resetting assignee to default as per bug #305719
[Part of the Dolphin Bug Weeks 2012] Not sure exactly what you mean. Could you maybe give some more details on how to reproduce this bug? I'm using Dolphin 2.1/KDE SC 4.9.2 (Kubuntu Quantal Quetzal package).
Hi Bryan, See comment #2 and the screenshot. When triaging bugs, you can at first skip reports marked with "reproduciable/testcase/triaged" keywords, since they have already been triaged before.

I looked at the screenshot when I first looked at the bug, but I still wasn't able to figure out what he meant.
Bryan, notice those "Diff.stats.*" lines in the screenshot. They are only meaningful for a patch, which that YAML file clearly is not.

I'll reassign to kdelibs because this is where the mime type detection takes place.
