Description Steven M. Parrish 2009-06-29 01:25:23 UTC
Version:           0.4.1.1 (using KDE 4.2.4)
OS:                Linux
Installed from:    Fedora RPMs

KPackageKit is forgetting the user specified options in regards to when to check for updates and which to install. My settings are for Daily & None however KPK keeps reseting to Hourly & Security. This issue had been resolved in a previous release but has now returned.
Comment 1 Daniel Nicoletti 2009-06-29 14:37:14 UTC
I'll take a look, thanks.
Comment 2 blitz00 2009-07-09 14:42:53 UTC
I too can confirm this. kpackagekit ignores "Check for updates: Monthly" setting. I configured it in kde's system-settings and kpackagekit ignores the setting running Daily. I reported this on fedora: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=510332
Comment 3 Kyle 2009-08-04 15:18:58 UTC
Same problem here too.
Comment 4 Kyle 2009-10-07 18:55:10 UTC
Packagekit still is not remembering my settings. I set it to Daily and None.
Comment 5 Daniel Nicoletti 2009-12-28 14:06:56 UTC
Can someone confirms that with 0.5.x versions? I can't reproduce it.
Comment 6 Kyle 2010-01-03 05:02:55 UTC
Yes still does not work right. kpackagekit-0.5.2-1.fc12.x86_64
Comment 7 Daniel Nicoletti 2010-01-21 15:36:19 UTC
Can you paste .kde/share/config/KPackageKit, before changing,
then you change to another date and send attach it too
please?
the [CheckUpdate] interval key should change, if they don't
maybe you FS is locking it.. dunno...

Comment 9 Daniel Nicoletti 2010-01-22 13:09:29 UTC
well as you can see:
you didn't have
[CheckUpdate]
interval=3600
before, 3600 mean Hourly,
so it is saving, what happens then that
does not store it?
You need to logout and login for this to change?
Comment 10 Kyle 2010-01-27 22:13:06 UTC
I've logged out and in and now I have this:

[CheckUpdate]
interval=86400

[FilterMenu]
FilterNewest=0
ViewInGroups=false

[HistoryDialog]
Height 900=306
Width 1440=883

[KpkMainUi]
Height 900=549
Width 1440=799

[Notify]
notifyUpdates=2

[ReviewChangesDialog]
Height 900=280
Width 1440=320

[Transaction]
ShowDetails=false

[requirementsDialog]
Height 900=284
Width 1440=450

Kpackagekit says daily now even though I set it to hourly. There are updates and I have not been notified. What gives?
