Description Kamil Neczaj 2009-06-05 03:14:02 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.4)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Compiled From Sources

I remember that in early kde versions, perhaps 4.0, maybe some beta before 4.0, there was a nice fade out sound effect, when an application was closed or it stopped playing. I've just reminded about it, but now in kde 4.2.4 it doesn't work. I'm using xine backend.

Sorry, could you please be a bit more detailed of what application you mean that had a closing sound? Also can you reproduce this with current KDE 4.3.3?

Example of the fadeout effect when closing dragon player

I've recorded a video on which you can notice the fade out effect when closing dragon player. In kde 4.3.3 and as I remember since kde 4.1 the music if simply cut off.

I've recorded the video clip on kubuntu 8.04 livecd with kde 4.0.

Is this still valid with a more recent KDE?

Closing for lack of feedback. Please only reopen this report if you can reproduce this with KDE 4.4.2 or higher.
