Description Dotan Cohen 2009-05-11 11:04:41 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.3)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

The Places and information panels are listed with their first letter underlined, indicating that there is a Keyboard shortcut to give them focus. However, Alt-P or Ctrl-P does not give the Places panel focus, and neither does Alt-I or Ctrl-I for the Information panel.

Note: combined with bug #187537 this makes the Places panel useless for keyboard users.

OK, putting it back on Dolphin as it should be there IMO. Indeed the shortcut issue lies into the way the information and places panels are done using QDockWidget. Those are the ones which should deal with the shortcuts, and they're instantiated on the Dolphin side.

Hope that helps.
