Description Manuel Schmid 2009-03-22 12:14:30 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.1)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

When I rotate the screen with krandrtray and and rotate it back again, the placement of windows is strange: Only the upper ~40% of the screen are used. I can manually resize the window to fit the whole screen, but if I maximize it, if I open a window from tray or if I open new windows they only fit this part of the screen. Kickoff also appears there.

I’ve also found out that windows cover the whole screen if I set them as fullscreen in the window menu.

Hi! Are you still able to reproduce this bug?
Comment 4 Manuel Schmid 2010-10-14 19:32:40 UTC
I don’t have this setting anymore, so I can’t try it. I haven’t encountered this bug in ages though, so it’s possible that it has been fixed already.
Comment 5 Martin Flöser 2011-07-10 06:28:38 UTC
it is unknown whether the bug is still valid
Comment 6 Manuel Schmid 2011-08-02 13:22:32 UTC
For me, screen rotation works (almost) as expected with 4.6.2, but as written above, I no longer have the same graphics hardware (same monitor though). I suggest, you close the bug and if the problem reappears for someone, they can open a new report.
