Version: (using KDE 4.2.1) OS: Linux Installed from: Ubuntu Packages When I rotate the screen with krandrtray and and rotate it back again, the placement of windows is strange: Only the upper ~40% of the screen are used. I can manually resize the window to fit the whole screen, but if I maximize it, if I open a window from tray or if I open new windows they only fit this part of the screen. Kickoff also appears there.
Created attachment 32336 [details] Screenshot showing a maximised Dolphin and Kickoff I’ve also found out that windows cover the whole screen if I set them as fullscreen in the window menu.

Hi! Are you still able to reproduce this bug?
I don’t have this setting anymore, so I can’t try it. I haven’t encountered this bug in ages though, so it’s possible that it has been fixed already.
it is unknown whether the bug is still valid
For me, screen rotation works (almost) as expected with 4.6.2, but as written above, I no longer have the same graphics hardware (same monitor though). I suggest, you close the bug and if the problem reappears for someone, they can open a new report.
RESOLVED WORKSFORME as suggested in comment #6
