Description karaluh 2009-03-17 14:22:58 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.0)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

When the first sound notification after loging in is played, it's repeated four times. After that, sound no longer works - no other sound notifications are played and Amarok doesn't work (no errors, song is playing but with no sound). killall knotify4 fixes the slowness imidiately, but the sound only partialy - Amarok still doesn't work, but the next sound notification is played. Again, four times and it brings slowness and broken sound again. Howewer, if I play a song in Amarok before any sound notification, sound doesn't get broken by the notifications. They are although still slowing down the computer. The stuff breaking notifications are comming from kopete.

Sorry, but that report slipped form our attention. Can you still reproduce this with current KDE 4.3.3 and Amarok 2.2.0?
The we would be glad to have a konsole output with the following options: 'amarok -dd --nofork'
Make sure you have the phonon xine backend installed and the necessary ffmpeg codecs.

No, I think it was fixed somewhere near 4.3.0
