Protected cells can still be edited. As a matter of fact none of the settings in Format -> Format Cell -> Cell Protection seems to work as expected.

I can't reproduce this bug. The protection of the cells acts when the sheet is protected. Are you sure that you enabled "Tools->Protect Sheet"?.

Unfortunately I'm not sure. I can't check as I haven't run KOffice since our last KOffice Bugday. If you think this is a non-issue and everything works for you, please go ahead and close as INVALID or FIXED as you please :-)

I wasn't able to reproduce the described behavior.
Closing as it works for me.
