Version: (using KDE 4.2.0) OS: Linux Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages When I create a new activity, it does not get the saved positions for icons. Changing to that activity and returning back to the first, destroys the saved-positions line in plasmarc for the first activity too. Why the hell does a new activity touch anything in the plasmarc section of another containment? Recipe to reproduce the bug: 1st: Install KDE 4.2 2nd: Change the Desktop view to folderview 3rd: Fix some icon positions 4th: Zoom out 5th: Create a new activity. First failure here: new activity will not have the same icon positions 6th: Change to the new activity and zoom in 7th: Ctrl+Shift+P to go to first activity. Second and most grave failure here: icons have lost positions here too.
Qt: 4.5.1 KDE: 4.2.70 (KDE 4.2.70 (KDE 4.3 >= 20090415)) kdelibs: r960298 kdebase: r960293 Can't reproduce here. Both activities maintain icon positions properly.
yes, this was fixed ... "Why the hell does a new activity touch anything in the plasmarc section of another containment?" it doesn't; the cause of this was a bit more complex. though i suppose i could ask in return why people jump to conclusions and ask such brusque questions.
