Description Paul Reed 2009-01-18 14:00:20 UTC
Version: (using Devel)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Compiled sources

After adding the LCD Weather Station widget and setting a location it updates as normal but after a reboot it fails to reload the information. It looks as though it's still setup as there's no configure button but it doesn't update. I've tried opening the configuration menu then clicking OK to see if it'll force a refresh but it gets stuck displaying "Loading" and goes no further.

The only two options I've found to get it working again are to delete the widget and start it up again then adding the location again or by opening the configuration menu, deleting the location entry and entering it again. It happens every time without fail for me.

Can you please state your kdebase and kdeplasma-addons revision versions?
Also can you set the LCD Weather applet on your desktop then issue
kquitapp plasma & plasma
in a terminal to test the applet behaviour without having to log out (or reboot!)

If it persists, can you attach a screenshot and your plasma-appletsrc file from $KDEHOME/share/config

Thanks in advance!

I'm on r958058. I Configured BBC weather from UK and City London. I followed steps as mentioned in Comment #1 but I could see the data when plasma restarted.

this would be the classic "no network available when it starts" scenario
