Version: (using KDE 4.1.3) OS: Linux Installed from: Ubuntu Packages Assuming that I have some pdf files in my /tmp directory (the same thing happens with any pattern in the filename, though; I just choose "pdf" as an example): 1. type "/tmp/*pdf" in the address bar. 2. Click on one of the PDF files to view it in embedded mode. 3. Hit the "back" button. Now one sees the entire contents of /tmp, not the expected /tmp/*pdf.
It also does not remember the part of the folder view you scrolled to if you hit the "back" button in file management. Does not matter if you use an embedded viewer or if you open a new directory and go back afterwards. It is always scrolled to the topmost position.

It is always scrolled to the topmost position. > True. But that's already filed as a separate bug. I can't recall the number, and the search function is timing out right now so I can't look for it, but I know it's in the database somewhere.
The search function just came back. It's bug 121255.
Still occurs with Konqueror 4.2.92, note that pdfs currently open in an external window, so you'll need to test it with files that are viewed in an embedded part, like .png or .html.
File management is no longer handled in Konqueror by its own library. Instead it now uses the Dolphin file manager for such services. As such, issue like this one need to be reported against dolphin if you still experience similar problems. Closing this ticket as unmaintained.
