Version: (using Devel) Installed from: Compiled sources The configuration window for KDM is too big for the 1024x600 window on my Acer Aspire One netbook. It gets HUGE on the theme tab (because of the preview), but even before that I can't reach the bottom of the window unless I use an external monitor. Using KDE 4.2 beta 2 packages from kde-redhat.org on Fedora 10.
are you *sure* it is the theme tab which prevents downsizing? in beta2, the preview image should simply fill the available space without actually *requiring* space. please look whether downsizing does not visibly hit some "natural shrinking limitation" in some other tab(s). i'd be interested in feedback on the snapshot that will be created tonight (i.e., with today's svn commits). screenshots of suspected too-big tabs might help (mail them directly to me if you want, i'll evaluate them before attaching here).
Created attachment 29949 [details] KDM config window Yes, it is the theme window -- but this might be a purely Fedora problem because it's the preview image of the Fedora theme that is *HUGE*. I'll attach a ksnapshot image from my computer. The window is actually cut off because it doesn't fit on my (1280x800) screen. :)

ah. yes - if the screenshot is oversized, it will cause bad things in beta2. this has been fixed. of course fedora should still fix their screenshot to have reasonable dimensions.
