The GStreamer Phonon backend is currently very buggy. Please install the xine backend and switch to that. It works well.
so why not removing it if the bugs are ignored closed ? the best things isn't to see with phonon team if they can fix the issue ?
bugs.kde.org comes close to a black hole for gstreamer bug reports at this point. Development and maintenance happens at Qt Software, so you need to contact them about it.
why not, how and who have i to contact ?
"why not?" is a question that doesn't make sense in this context... I assume you want to know this: None of the developers reading/monitoring bugs.kde.org work on phonon-gstreamer. http://trolltech.com/developer/task-tracker
this wasn't a question but an exclamation :) i just got wrong on the exclamtion :) "Why not!" would have been better understood :) /me have to think everybody can't read his minds ;)
I'll try to remedy the situation a little bit after talking with the Amarok developers.
Since Amarok (as well as Vlc) don't use Shoutcast anymore for legal reason, this bug is made invalid.
reassigning to the new bugzilla product for better bug tracing of the various backends. Sorry for the noise.
