Version: (using Devel) Compiler: gcc 4.1.2 gcc (GCC) 4.1.2 (Gentoo 4.1.2 p1.1) OS: Linux Installed from: Compiled sources "Lancelot Part" option (when a folder is dropped to the desktop) is meaningless. Users don't know what "Part" means. I think that a more user friendly string is needed.

I agree, but that is the name of the applet, and that menu uses the name of the applet for the item title... not much I can do about it. Maybe to provide another desktop file for the same applet, but with a different title or something?
trunk isn't frozen now, this bug now can be fixed.
OK, what do you propose? 1. Do you have an idea for a string that would fit both the menu in question and the applet browser? 2. Or do you think that we could separate those two strings completely, so that applets could specify which text to be shown for them?
Any news on this? "Lancelot Part" is still there and the Reporter didn't suggested anything else. This should be marked as NEEDSINFO

This bug should be closed as recent Lancelot version change the applet's name to "shelf". Unless if you are still looking for a more explicit name.
