Version: 1.3.3 (using 4.1.3 (KDE 4.1.3), Debian packages) Compiler: cc OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.26-1-amd64 I use keyboard keys n, p to move between feeds, but when a new feed is selected, in article list last item get focus(from the bottom), I want to read new articles only. You should use the mouse to select new article from the list. I would prefer that Akregator will select last read item from the article list, so I can use keyboard left, right keys to read new articles. Another issue using left, right keys is that horizontal scrolling in article list has bad position and some characters from the list get hidden.(will attach screen shot)
Created attachment 28852 [details] screenshot for horiz scrolling
You can add one feature that will avoid first issue in this bug. * Add a shortcut that will turn on/off displaying "all articles" or "only new articles", like google reader has.
if you press n, then "right" key it goes to first *unread* article, but if you press "left" key it goes to last *read* article. This may be ok for news sites for example, but for development feeds - no, you should read them in chronological order.
Thank you for the bug report. As this report hasn't seen any changes in 5 years or more, we ask if you can please confirm that the issue still persists. If this bug is no longer persisting or relevant please change the status to resolved.
Actually, at least as of Akregator 5.16.3 (20.12.3), if you press the RightArrow key the cursor goes to the first article on the feed (read or unread) and LeftArrow goes to the last article. There are sepparate shortcuts to go to the first unread article (KeyPadPlusSign) or last unread article (KeyPadMinusSign). These don't work quite right though, see https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=432146
