Version: 4.1.2-96.1 (using KDE 4.1.2) Compiler: HP dv6000 x86_64 OS: Linux Installed from: SuSE RPMs Plasmoid: plasmoids does not maintain their positions relative to monitor screen size. eg. plasmoid A is near edge of screen. After switching from 20" to 15" laptop, plasmoid A is not visible because it is outside the screen. You can see this is so when you zoom out the plasma. Panel: Panel does not expand automatically to fill the width of the screen. Switching from 20" to 15" Panel sizes correctly. When switching back to 20" panel does not expand to fill width of screen.
I don't have an external monitor for testing (next week I'll have again two monitors, but now...). Anyway I've tried to reproduce the issue using krandtray for change the screen resolusion on the fly. 1) At 1600x1200 resolution I've placed one plasmoid on each desktop corner 2) I've switched to 800x600 and plasmoids has been re-placed correctly. The bug seems fixed, moreover I'm able to remember some SVN-commits about the right placing of items on plasma. Someone can confirm?
This bug still exists in my place, KDE 4.2.2. When I set a higher resolution, the panel doesn't stretch to fill the width.
PLEASE IGNORE MY LAST COMMENT: I misread the description and got confused with another bug. Sorry.
works for me as well ...
Sorry, but it still doesn't work in here. Increasing resolution doesn't make the panel stretch to the new width. 4.2.2 (Debian sid, x86_64).
issue #2 is resolved, and issue #1 works fine with the default desktop containment; are you using a folderview containment?
whoops, didn't mean to close this one just yet.
@Oren: can you still reoproduce the bug? Are you using a folderview containment?
@FiNeX: It doesn't seem to occur since I've upgraded to 4.3.0, I think the bug can be closed. I'll reopen if I'll find anything new. 10x
Thanks for the feedback Oren.
