Version: (using KDE 4.1.1) OS: Linux Installed from: Unlisted Binary Package I have Archlinux distribution, its maintainers provide archlinux-menu package in the repo. The package consists of menu directory and several entries in this directory. The menu directory is placed in /usr/share/desktop-directories, but KDE don't list it in 'Applications' menu. It causes that all menu entries which should be in missing directory are move to 'Lost & Found'.
Created attachment 27557 [details] The file which kde won't merge It's placed in /usr/share/desktop-directories
Created attachment 27558 [details] The sample menu entry. It should be placed in menu directory which isn't merged. In my system the file is placed in /usr/share/applications. I have KDE installed in /usr
In addition kde won't list wine directories in 'Applications' menu which are in ~/.local/share/desktop-directories/ so all wine applications now are located in 'Lost & Found'.
Confirmed in trunk too.
The issue with desktop directories have been solved, but the Wine issue remains. I created another bug report about it, because it seems that Wine issue is somewhat different and related to ~/.config/menus/applications-merged directory not the desktop-directories.
