Description Gerhard Riener 2008-08-12 10:29:12 UTC
Version:           1.10.0 (using 4.1.1 (KDE 4.1.0 (4.1 >= 20080722)) "release 26.4", KDE:KDE4:Factory:Desktop / openSUSE_11.0)
Compiler:          gcc
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.27-rc2-g796aadeb-17-pae

When right clicking on the system tray and trying to go to the folder where "new mail" is indicated, it brings you to the preferred specified component (Which is the summary component in my configuration, but can be replicated with other components as well, i.e. calender)
However, i think it should bring you to the folder, where the new messages are.

I can confirm this on 1.11.2. This happens only when kmail is not started stand alone but from kontact. When we right click and select new mail in certain folder, in background it does refresh that folder(as i have online imap) but I see summary. When I click kmail, it does show the selected folder but it should be shown directly instead of showing summary.

Don't know about this.
What if the unread messages are spread around several folders?
Think this is a Won't fix.

Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report.

KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2.

We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback.
