Description Wolfram R. Sieber 2008-06-14 21:01:22 UTC
Version: 1.2.5 (using 3.5.5, Debian Package 4:3.5.5a.dfsg.1-8etch1 (4.0))
Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.18-6-k7

In amaroK, if you select a deeply nested directory to be treated as the media collection directory, the directories closer to the root get highlighted some way, e.g. get drawed in blue color. That way, it is relatively easy to orient yourself within a big filesytem to get back to those sub-trees the collection lays in.

What's that to do with Akregator?

In Akregator, I can select a feed source (left pane), then start to read through it and at some point close the sub-folder the feed source is located in. Which also hides the bar that highlighted the feed source before. While I am reading the news still, that doesn't matter; but once I am done with that and'd like to progress with another source, maybe of the same category, there's a little problem: Where's the highlighted bar in the left pane?

I think, it would help usability if there would remain any visual clue to help the user to figure out to which folder the news belonged he just read.
