Version: 3.5.9 (using KDE 3.5.9) Installed from: Ubuntu Packages OS: Linux When selecting all files in a directory on one mounted filesystem and then pressing Ctrl+X or selecting "Cut", and there after "Pasting" them, by either pressing Ctrl+V or selecting "Paste" in the menu, in a directory on a different mounted filesystem sometimes results in the files being copied instead of moved. Special care has been taken to make sure Ctrl+X has been pressed instead of Ctrl+C, which would have been the simple answer to this problem. This problem has only been observed when one of the filesystem is accessed through media:/. It does not matter which of the two filesystems is source or destination. The source file or directory icon (the one selected for moving/cutting) is still greyed out, as if it were selected for cutting. The file or directory remains intact on the source filesystem. Deleting the source files is no problem after they have been "moved." This only happens sometimes, and I've made sure to check the file and directory permissions for irregularies. Please advise.
I could reproduce this in dolphin and konq in kde4 trunk r814918.
The media:/ kio slave no longer exists with KDE 4.6.4
