Version: 4.0.3 (using KDE 4.0.3) Installed from: Ubuntu Packages OS: Linux try selecting a previously entered URL from the location bar in Konq 4.0.3 and things seem unnaturally loooong. When you hit <enter> on the URL it can take 10 or so seconds to register and begin loading the URL. The computer is not overloaded and no I don't expect everything happen instantly :-) This behaviour is waaay longer than Konq3 and Firefox. Hope this report helps improve the usability of Konq and KDE. Keep up the good work.
Let me try and be more specific... 1. Open Konq 4 2. Press F6 3. start typing in your favourite URL (eg the dot.kde.org) 4. Select the URL from the auto complete drop-down list 5. Wait a looooong time for the URL to be recognized (15 seconds or more) 6. The list stays there while you wait for the URL to load 7. The list will then disappear and the page will start loading So it is something to do with the URL auto complete list. Konq3 and firefox don't have this problem at all. Hope this helps. Rodney
Unable to duplicate this on KDE 4.0.3 on Fedora 9. Everything feels instant (<1s) here.
not able to reproduce on svn trunk r815560 (~4.1-beta). drowdown list is faster than my eyes and brain are.
Can't reproduce this bug in trunk (svn rev. 815196). Closing.
