Version: 3.5.7 (using 3.5.7, compiled sources) Compiler: Target: i586-mandriva-linux-gnu OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.22.12-desktop-1mdv When I try to download something using Konqueror itself, the download takes all the bandwidth for himself. I can't use the Internet by any mean during downloads by Konqueror. Even when I browse to other page with Konqueror itself, it always says "Unknown host". This is true as all the Internet bandwidth is now allocated to the download only. To reproduce the bug: Simply start any download by Right-Click->saveas in Konqueror. Then try to navigate to other page or so. I also notice Konqueror speed when opening other page (< 400 B/s) during download (If it doesn't say Unknown host). Other info: My Internet connection is DSL (1:4) with speed 256kb/s... I didn't face any similar problem with other browsers as Opera or FireFox for example. Suggestion: I suggest to put an optional download speed limit in Konqueror. Even if this bug is not confirmed, just add it. It is very useful in any download manager to have speed limit controls. Thanks alot KDE team for this splendid Desktop, Bichoy
I do not remember the kget configuration for kde 3.5, but in kde 4, kget has a download and upload limit, and kget could be made the default download manager for konqueror.
Message from the Bugsquad and Konqueror teams: This bug is closed as outdated, as we do not have the manpower to maintain the KDE3 version anymore. If you still can reproduce this issue with Konqueror 4.8.4 or later, please open a new report. Thank you for your understanding.
