Description James Richard Tyrer 2007-12-19 21:15:58 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.8)
Installed from: Compiled From Sources
Compiler: GCC-4.1.2
OS: Linux

When I have a directory open, SVG and SVGZ files open correctly in the KDE embedded SVG viewer as I have configured my system.

However, when I am using HTTP and try to open such a file, for example:
 http://home.earthlink.net/~tyrerj/files/OG/pcm2pwm-03A.svgz

It is opened as text/plain. I presume that KHTML isn't getting the MIME type correct.

This may be the same issue as: Bug 149794
Comment 1 Allan Sandfeld 2007-12-19 21:58:41 UTC
Yes, the file is sent as text/plain. Konqueror should really reconsider text/plain files and just treat it is unknown mimetype.

Same behaviour confirmed on konqueror 4 (trunk r797319).
