Version: (using KDE Devel) OS: Linux If you happen to want to open the context menu for a link that is represented by an animated GIF the menu only opens for the timespan that the animation frequency dictates, the context menu closes automatically if the animation changes contents of the GIF image. See the advertisement banners on top of http://www.heise.de...
Odd (can't test, though --- super-crazy debug stuff in my tree atm)... And reminds me I need to fix the "stop animations' stuff..
Could you please provide a link with an example? I don't see it on pages I tried, but I think I saw something related elsewhere, which had nothing to do with animated gifs..
It's happening on the advertisement banners on top of http://www.heise.de if they happen to be something else than a flash animation. It's the same banners that cause the context menu and even the main menu to vanish if you happen to move the mouse cursor inside the popup menu while the animation behind changes (see gug report #153428). It happened on two completely fresh builds on different computers on 2007-12-04, I'm going to retest on saturday if something else has fixed this...
Cannot reproduce on trunk r797319.
Confirming that this bug is fixed on trunk r820659. Closing.
