Description Till Fischer 2007-10-27 19:26:34 UTC
Version: 0.2 (using KDE KDE 3.5.8)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux

The diffent types of wep-encryption might confuse uncertain users. The unusual encryption-method "WEP-Passphrase" should not be the default choice.

The "WEP40/104-Bit-Hex" and "WEP40/104-Bit-ASCII" could be merged to a new default entry called "WEP Key (40/104-Bit)" or so (whether the user means Hex or ASCII should be recongnised automatically).

Unfortunately a 10/26 character string can be both valid hex and ascii so the merge is not possible. I've included your passphrase feedback into our kde 4 planning doc on techbase: http://techbase.kde.org/Projects/Network_Management

The new design has been implemented, with separate input fields as discussed above.
