Version: (using KDE Devel) Installed from: Compiled sources OS: Linux I'm using KRDC, compiled from todays SVN, to connect to a Win2K-host. My onboard soundcard has an digital (Intel (AD198x Digital)) and an analog (Intel (AD198x Analog)) output. I configured Phonon to use the digital output as the primary device for each kind of audio output (Notifications, Music, etc). When I now play some music on the remote Win2K-host, the sound is played on my analog output. As I don't know whether KRDC actually uses Phonon, I don't know if this is a bug report or something new for the wishlist. Anyway, from a user's perspective it would be a bug - why should KRDC play the sound with the analog device while having a digital one selected?
Thanks for this report. Unfortunately, the KRDC RDP implementation is rdesktop based. rdesktop handles the sound output, and as far as I know, we are not able to change this. Probably you could ask the rdesktop developers for a solution: http://www.rdesktop.org/ Please comment here if you have any news.
I've contacted the rdesktop developers. See here: http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1826036&group_id=24366&atid=381350
