Version: 1.4.6 (using KDE 3.5.7, Gentoo) Compiler: Target: i686-pc-linux-gnu OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.22-gentoo-r4 I just deleted an empty folder in my MP3 player, hooked up to Amarok. At that point the Amarok GUI asked, did I want to irreversibly delete a *file*?. The question ought to be, do I want to delete a *folder*, not a file.
does this still happen in Amarok 1.4.9.1? Amarok 1.4.x is in bugfix-only mode as development is focused on Amarok 2. Thank you for your report and have fun with Amarok.
Closing due to lack of feedback.
Hi there, sorry for late feedback. I tested removing an empty folder using Amarok 1.4.9.1. I get a popup saying "You have selected 1 track to be irreversibly deleted", with buttons [Delete] and [Cancel]. IMHO the message is still inaccurate. It should be something like "You have selected a folder to be irreversibly deleted". Also the message might indicate whether the folder is empty or non-empty. In the latter case, warn that all items in the folder will be deleted as well.
Ok thanks :) Please check again once Amarok 2.0 is released. We are fully focused on Amarok 2 now so unfortunately this will not get changed in Amarok 1. Thanks for your report.
