Version: unknown (using KDE 3.5.7, Gentoo) Compiler: Target: x86_64-pc-linux-gnu OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.21-gentoo-r4-ZENON I configured my podcasts as : -Automatically scan for updates -Download when available -(no limitation for the number of episodes) After listening them, I move the interesting ones to the Collection and delete the others. The problem is that at the next check, they are downloaded again. I'm using Amarok 1.4.6 with KDE 3.5.7 on Gentoo/amd64.
It's worst than I thought. I decided to keep them as "listened" and not delete them, until I find time to install Amarok 1.4.7. But when I refresh podcasts, the files are downloaded again, and they are now present twice. One in "listened" state and one in "new" state. I checked in the Podcast directory, there is only 1 file per podcast...
Ouch. I posted too fast. It has nothing to do with the "listened" state. I have a podcast where every entry is present 4x, all in "new" state.
I updated Amarok to 1.4.7 yesterday and let it run during the night. Same problem... all podcasts are duplicated 3+ Could switching to MySQL database fix that?

Some additional infos. No idea it it can help you. My collection is stored in the following folders : /home/greisby/My Music/iTunes /home/greisby/My Music/Magna Tunes /home/greisby/My Music/Misc /home/greisby/My Music/MPEG 3 /home/greisby/My Music/OGG Vorbis /home/greisby/My Music/Podcasts/Archive /home/greisby/My Music/Wave (Note the spaces in "My Music", "MPEG 3" and "OGG Vorbis"). And the podcasts are downloaded in /home/greisby/My Music/Podcasts/<podcast name> The database is SQLite. The FS is ext3 w/ user_xattr for Beagle. Well, let me know if you need more infos.
I saw something today, that could be related: when Amarok starts, all podcasts are empty. Is it possible that they don't get stored in the database?
I have the same problem. Scott Sigler Podcast keep re-downloading episode 5 and 6 of Nocturnal. Maybe there is a fault in the RSS feed? I can't check the feed address Amarok using or export list otherwise i'd list it. Using Amarok version 1.4.8.
Does this still happen in 1.4.9.1? I don't observe this behaviour here...
Closing due to lack of feedback.
