I also sometimes have this problem with other actions on the deviantART message centre.

Would a backtrace that consists mostly of "(no debugging symbols found)" be of any use?
No, that doesn't sound really useful. You could read http://techbase.kde.org/Development/Tutorials/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports which describes which steps to follow in order to get a more useful backtrace out of it.

Is it still happening to you in any recent version of KDE? We won't fix KDE 3.5 anymore, so please test with KDE 4.0.5 or KDE 4.1 when it's out.
