Version: 1.4.6 (using KDE KDE 3.5.7) Installed from: Ubuntu Packages OS: Linux I got a quite large collection (I'm using mySQL as backend) and about 60,000 songs in it. Since some days, I sometimes get a popup window telling me, that Amarok was unable to process certain songs. After clicking ok, 5,000 to 13,000 songs are gone. Refreshing the collection doesn't help. Rebuilding does, but the problem keeps coming back after a few days. I tested some of the songs and they play fine, tags seem ok too (nothing fancy, just id3v2). I can rename one of the lost albums directories, and Amarok will find it after the next collection update. I backup the database via cron.daily. After I restore the latest backup, Amarok behaves fine and has no problem with the files that got lost before restoring yesterday's DB. My Setup: - Files are stored on another computer, filesystem is exported via a NFS share. - I didn't actually add the share's mointpoint in Amarok, but rather an symlink to it. (Doesn't make a difference. I tested adding the mountpoint directly too.) - Share is up and the files are accessable all the time. Any help is appreciated.
I am sorry but this will not get fixed in Amarok 1.4 as we are focused on Amarok 2 now. Thank you for your report.
