Description Gian Paolo Mureddu 2007-07-01 19:07:13 UTC
Version: 1.4.5 (using KDE KDE 3.5.7)
Installed from: Fedora RPMs
OS: Linux

Certain files on my collection fail to transfer to my MTP device and cause Amarok to crash. It appears to be random, though I have a playlist with files which almost on a per-file basis cause Amarok to crash, I've run a 'strace -o /somefile' on amaorkapp to try and help nail this down.

Strace output for amarokapp

This is a strace output for amarokapp to try and determine what is causing it
to crash. I can only see it gets a SIGSEV segmentation fault, but can't
determine why or from what action, etc.

I can confirm this is still the case with latest stable Amarok (1.4.7) and the same files.

I can confirm this aswell. It is very annoying. But unfortunatley Amarok 1.4.x is in bugfix-only mode as development is focused on Amarok 2. Unfortunately your bug will very likely not get fixed, as the risk of regressions is too high and the Amarok developers do not have the resources for it. Thank you for your report though. Please don't hesitate to report new bugs should you have any problems with Amarok 2 once it is released.
