Version: Amarok 1.4.6_pre20070608 (using KDE KDE 3.5.7) Installed from: Gentoo Packages Compiler: gcc (GCC) 4.1.2 (Gentoo 4.1.2) CFLAGS="-O2 -march=pentium4 -msse2 -mfpmath=sse -pipe" OS: Linux Steps to reproduce: 1)Rip some audio CD with, for example, Kaudiocreator 2)Try to play it with amarok and everything will work fine 3)Rename or move it for current rip location and it will also work fine. 4)Launch easytag-2.1 and: -Turn on this option: Settings->Preferences->ID3 Tag Settings->"Write ID3 tags in FLAC files with FLAC tag" 5)Change something on flac ID3 info.. it could be Album/Name/Artist field... 6)press F5 and let it be updated 7)Try to play it again with amarok: error Amarok says: No suitable demux plugin. This often means that the file format is not supported." And it is.. it's a flac file :P I'm using xine engine (xine-lib-1.1.7) Why I think that is a Amarok bug? Because if i try to play it with flac123 or MOCp (Moc player http://moc.daper.net/ ) flac plays just fine. Yes, this could be solved just by disabling that option in easytag.. the problem is that many flac files encoded over the world have exactly same problem. thanks in advance, luminoso
Yeah, but can you play it with another xine client (e.g. xine-ui)? Probably not.
yes you're right. I tried to play it with xine-ui and it crashed(!!). I reported it in https://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1736477&group_id=9655&atid=109655 with a strace. Could you please just confirm to be shore that is not an amarok bug?
Thanks. Yeah, definitely a xinelib issue then.
thank you!
xine-ui crash gxine don't It's proved that is not xine-libs bug??
