Version: 1.4.3 (using KDE 3.5.5, Kubuntu (edgy) 4:3.5.5-0ubuntu3.3) Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.17-11-generic After using numerous applets on some game websites, in Firefox (presumably other browsers have the same effect) the applets seem to cause problems. The moment a song is pressed, the visualizations move, then it completely locks up, and I'm asked to terminate. It doesn't affect any other part of Amarok, so I'm assuming it is in conflict with the audio drivers or something? Sorry, I'm not quite too sure on how it works, but I have a plain vanilla version of Amarok, with the typical xine engine. Hope this helps.
First, you should try upgrading to the latest version of Amarok; then, please give us some examples of these game websites which cause Amarok to crash, otherwise it's very hard to reproducde your problem.
As far as I'm aware, I'm using the most latest version available thru Ubuntu package archives. An example website would be runescape.de or some games on other java based sites with audio.
it is most probably the application grabbing soundcard & xine dying. verify that dmix is properly set, and... well, other than that, it is either xine, or the java applet/firefox problem.
Closing this bug as invalid, as it is not an Amarok bug. Anyway, Amarok 1.4.x is no longer actively maintained as all the focus is on Amarok 2.0- Feel free to report any bug you should come across in Amarok 2.0
