Version: 1.4.5 (using KDE KDE 3.5.6) Installed from: Ubuntu Packages OS: Linux similar to a bug fixed with an earlier version regarding the play count. Lets say I create a label called instrumental for all my music that is just music without words (from things like soundtracks and such). Now I have a playlist where I want all music except for instrumentals. If I put in my smart playlist to exclude items who have an instrumental label it only includes tracks that have a different label and exclude all my tracks that don't have a label at all. Before I would just make the genre instrumental but I want to try and avoid that as I loose some information by trying to do this (think of a label called two-step for my country music that has a two step beat, it wouldn't make sense to use two step as the genre). This was an issue before with play counter but that has sense been fixed.
any idea when this will be fixed? It's still here in 1.4.7.
is this still the same behaviour in 1.4.9.1?
Just tried and it is still here. If I use a label in my smart playlist it ignores all songs that don't have any labels. This would make sense when I want to use a contains or equals type but when I do a does not contain it doesn't make sense that it would exclude songs without any label
Amarok 1.4.x is in bugfix-only mode as development is focused on Amarok 2. Unfortunately your feature request can not be implemented in Amarok 1, as Amarok developers do not have the resources for it and risk of regression would be too high. I am therefore moving your request to Amarok 2. I cannot make any guarantee as to whether is will get implemented there or not though. Thank you for your report.
2.0 likely will not have label support, maybe 2.1... -> RESO:LATER
Closing correctly. Solved in Amarok 2.x
