Description Joshua Lund 2007-03-23 09:28:07 UTC
Version: 1.4.5 (using KDE KDE 3.5.6)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux

If a user is manipulating the music in their collection using the right-click context menu during a song change, the floating notification appears and causes the menu to lose focus and close.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Begin playing a song (you can fast forward to near the end to speed step 3 up).
2. Right click on any item in your collection in the left pane. Leave the context menu open.
3. Wait for the song to finish.

The menu will close.

this happens for most areas, also for playlist.

it is even possible in playlist to click on, for example, "edit track properties, but if track changes while the dialog still not open (can happen if system is heavily loaded), the tag editor will never show up.

Comment from a KDE bugsquad member:

The current stable version is 1.4.9.1, but Amarok 1.4.x is in bugfix-only mode as development is focused on Amarok 2. Unfortunately your bug will very likely not get fixed, as the risk of regressions is too high and the Amarok developers do not have the resources for it. Thank you for your report though. Please don't hesitate to report new bugs should you have any problems with Amarok 2 once it is released.
