Description Shriramana Sharma 2007-03-18 19:47:30 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.6)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux

Try to delete a child item of a read-only folder.
You get an error saying access was denied to the trash folder.

Actually the permission to modify the folder inode was denied. There is no problem with the trash folder -- it is always writable for the owner.

Please fix the error message.

Reproduced in kde 4.0.3
Comment 2 Dominik Tritscher 2008-07-24 20:55:16 UTC
In KDE 4.1RC1 no option to delete a file in a read-only folder is given to the user. So this seems to be fixed now.
