Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.6) Installed from: Ubuntu Packages OS: Linux Steps to reproduce bug: 1. In Konqueror go to Bookmarks menu. 2. Navigate down to a bookmark folder. 3. Right click on the folder. 4. You get the context menu for bookmark folders. 5. This is CORRECT behaviour. 6. Now navigate *into* that bookmark folder so that a bookmark item is highlighted. 7. Now come back (slowly else you risk triggering bug 123573) to the bookmark folder. 8. Right click on the bookmark folder. 9. You get the context menu for bookmark *items*. 10. This is NOT CORRECT behaviour. Note that if the last item highlighted in the folder before you go back to the folder in step 7 is a subfolder and not a bookmark item, this bug is NOT OBSERVED. It seems that the last context menu used in the bookmark tree is cached and used for any further right-clicks. Further, even if you highlight a non-subfolder item in a bookmark folder, if you go back to the parent level and try right-clicking on *another* bookmark folder (which is not the parent of the item we highlighted) this bug is NOT OBSERVED. Expected behaviour: We expect that for bookmark folders we *always* get the appropriate context menu, irrespective of what item we highlighted last.

The bug is still there in kde 3.5.9 in Opensuse 11.0 but not in kde 4.1 .
I am the reporter of this bug. I am closing it as WORKSFORME after confirming its absence in KDE 4.2.2 on Kubuntu Hardy. Thank you for your attention.
