Version: 3.5.5 (using KDE 3.5.5, Debian Package 4:3.5.5a.dfsg.1-6 (4.0)) Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.18p4s When you are writing a text in a khtml form and you make a misspelling, the word is marked red. In order to have a suggestion you have to rightclick on the editing box, select check spelling and then correct the word. The problem is that if you are not going through the whole text correcting or reviewing all the misspelled words, the changes won't apply. For example, correct the first misspelled word of two and then closing the spell checking dialog won't show the word corrected in the edit box. The solution is either implement what http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=111344 suggest or apply the changes on every word just once an action is taken.
You can just hit "finished" after one word. I'm not sure how intuitive that is. Dunno, I think this is some kind of usability thing.
Message from the Bugsquad and Konqueror teams: This bug is closed as outdated, as we do not have the manpower to maintain the KDE3 version anymore. If you still can reproduce this issue with Konqueror 4.8.4 or later, please open a new report. Thank you for your understanding.
