Version: konqueror 3.5.4 (using KDE KDE 3.5.4) Installed from: Mandriva RPMs Compiler: gcc 4.1.1 x86_64 OS: Linux Some extension files like .psd, .flv, .asf (partly) does not being previewed when files can be openned finely. .psd used to be well previewed in earlyest konqueror (???) How to see what kind of extension are previewed in konqueror ? notes : this files are well previewed in nautilus ;-(
The latest stable KDE is 3.5.6 -- reporting bugs in old versions does not make sense.
i hope so ;-)
Marc, it is not *that* bad to report bugs against older versions... I think everything older than 3 releases ago from now is questionable. And by the way, I was able to reproduce, I looked into it but couldn't find how to activate it.
Therefore I'm reopening it.
Hi, Do you mean Bram that Kde 3.5.6 does not fix this bug ??? Laurent Le dimanche 04 mars 2007 à 11:25 +0000, Bram Schoenmakers a écrit : [bugs.kde.org quoted mail]
I'm not 100% it is a bug, but at least on my system (KDE 3.5.6) it does not seem to work. Maybe I'm just missing something and is it a configuration issue, and not a KDE bug.
I'm not sure what you want from "preview" for video files like .flv (Flash Video) or .asf (MS Streaming Format). The first frame of the video, as though it were a picture? Loop the first five seconds in a preview pane? Play the whole video on hover? I can find complaints for each possibility. :P As of svn 832895, konqueror in KDE4 doesn't show previews at all, and dolphin doesn't show previews for .flv or .asf (I don't have any .psd files to test against). They just get the big-?-on-a-piece-of-paper icon.
KDE 4.6.3 (openSuse 11.3) does show thumbnail previews for .flv, .psd and also .asf
