Can you create a minimal testcase from that page that has the HTML/Javascript code that doesn't work?

do have the same problem?

I have puchased s.th. at ebay and I have paid it. 
Now I want to mark this item as 'being paid' on my "MyeBaySummary"-page. For this I have under the tab Aktion (action) s.th. to click on (kind of fall down menu) that shows by default (german) "Artikelbeschreibung ueberpruefen" (eng~ "check Art.description"). The web-page-code itself looks like this here:

But clicking on that I can see the list-items for a 10th of a second and then its dark grey, and doing anythin here is impossible.

Unfortunately confirming this bug needs you to purchase something on ebay to create a testcase. Are you still experiencing those problems using a recent versions of konqueror?

I havent used ebay in a while so I cant tell you for sure, I will try to find an account ( maybe from a friend ) that had recent activity, and Ill inform you as soon as possible. 

I also hat this problem for ages, and it still persists with the newest KDE 4.1.1.

This bug makes Ebay completely unusable :(. But obviously, as nobody seems to confirm it, it is not a common problem?

I just did a full ebay(.fr) transaction using konqueror...

It went just fine and all menus and popup menus were working, including round corners /w drop shadows with opacity, and similar fancy effects. I couldn't see any obviously non-working device.

The only slight defect I could find was when finally clicking "evaluate vendor" (or similar wording), there was a css popup to warn me about a policy change.

This popup was displayed on top of a grey, opacity: +/-0.8 layer covering briefly the whole page. Then about three seconds later, the grey layer partially disappeared, not triggering a full repaint of the page.
Discarding the CSS popup finally triggered a normal repaint.

All in all the experience was quite acceptable.

You seem to be quite lucky. Especially Ebay is an absolute no-go for me with Konqueror.

- Drop down menus as described in this report haven't been working for YEARS (literally)
- Upload of pictures (all the different Ebay picture services) dysfunctional for YEARS (literally)
- and numerous small quirks.

The menu problem might indeed be a redraw problem - sometimes the content is displayed for fractions of seconds, then disappears.

I'd rather suspect a layout difference between ebay.fr and others...
all I'm saying is ebay's working fine for me.
Without a reduced testcase that's all I can tell for now.

definetly have to find something I'd care to sell to test the picture upload thingy..

Additional comment: Since a few days, Ebay Germany (which I use) uses a vastly overhauled interface. With this user interface Konqeror seems to have _no_ problems when using the drop down menus.

Sorry, I have to contradict my own report: Ebay Germany introduced a new, optional beta user interface which accidentally was turned on for my account. The "official" interface still does not work with konqueror.
