Version: 3.5.6 (using KDE 3.5.6, Kubuntu (edgy) 4:3.5.6-0ubuntu1~edgy1) Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.19 Gmail opens a popup window when a mail address clicked in a (g)mail to create a new mail. This popup window fails to load the 'new mail' popup correctly. It stalls on a message in the upper right corner saying 'loading'.
I can confirm this behaviour with firefox browser id with 3.5.6
I can't reproduce the bug because it only happens in Standard View, and gmail defaults to Basic Html view with Konqueror. Can you still reproduce it with a different id and in a recent version? In kde 3.5.9 I don't have the option to select firefox 2 .
Yes the bug is still present in KDE 3.5.9 and I think it's not that hard to switch to default view in Konqueror. I use firefox 1.0.7 as fake user-agent. I tried firefox 1.5 just now and it does make a difference: gmail rendering is worse (more scrollbars/crappy scrolling) but the mailto popup is fixed! So, in some way the bug is fixed, but I'll stick to firefox 1.0 fake user-agent nevertheless because it renders a lot cleaner.
I confirm that the popup is working on 3.5.9 and using konqueror from trunk too.
FiNeX: what UA were you using? I just tried with both Safari 2.0 and FF 2.0.0.8 and neither worked. trunk 4.1.60
@zahl: I've used "mozilla 1.7.3". Using "Firefox" as UA, the website doesn't work. Anyway the popup is opened right, but it is not possible to change the selection using the keyboard keys: you've to select the entry with the mouse.
Can not reproduce in 4.4.1
