Description Craig Tabita 2007-02-05 23:37:00 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.5)
Installed from: Fedora RPMs
OS: Linux

If you are viewing local files in Konqueror, and the side Navigation Panel is on the "System" tab, and you try to delete an empty directory you get an error message "Creating folders is not permitted with protocol trash", whereas doing the same thing under the "Home" tab, which is as far as I know the same as the System tab but restricted to the home directory, handles it fine.

To clarify, I am referring to right clicking and selecting "Move to trash" within the Navigation Panel, not the main window.

The bug still happens if it's not en empty folder in 3.5.9 . However " system:/ " isn't present in kde 4.x
Comment 3 FiNeX 2008-06-02 00:22:19 UTC
Confirmed. "system:/" has been dropped out from KDE4. This bug will not be fixed on 3.5 branch so I close this.
