Description Martin van Es 2007-01-28 20:47:59 UTC
Version: 3.5.6 (using KDE 3.5.6, Kubuntu (edgy) 4:3.5.6-0ubuntu1~edgy1)
Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.19

Clicking the 'toggle autoexpire' icon in the Recorded Programs view of MythTV's web interface puts the mouse in a sort of in-sensitive mode, like it started drag and drop, but can't find the target and didn't sens the mouse-up event? This means that it's impossible to click anything/anywhere, even outside Konqueror and I need to switch back to the console (ctl-alt-f1) to 'killall' konqueror(s).

I realise this is not a crash per-se, but the desktop is unusable as a result, which I deem crash worthy.

My MythTV comes from svn so I don't know if this behaviour is present in MythTV release. The toggle looks like an AJAX implementation (no screen refresh) in Firefox, in which it works.
Comment 1 Philip Rodrigues 2007-01-29 22:01:01 UTC
For the purposes of KDE's bugzilla, freezing isn't crashing. Can you get a backtrace from konqueror by killing it with "kill -SEGV <pid-of-konq>"? If you can, please paste it here
Comment 2 Martin van Es 2007-01-29 22:16:42 UTC
This is the backtrace after a SEGV.
Hope it's of any use.

Comment 3 Martin van Es 2007-01-30 14:02:59 UTC
The problem seems to be resolved in mythweb svn revision 12674.
Comment 4 Martin van Es 2007-01-31 08:33:54 UTC
Ok, it's worse: it MOSTLY works now, but I still encounter the 'freezes' every now and then. I don't know what triggers it or not.
Comment 5 Martin van Es 2007-05-28 12:58:01 UTC
Digg (www.digg.com) now shows exactly the same behaviour for the title-links. It's not reproducable, but when it's there, the mouse (and therefor the desktop) is unusable untill I kill the responsible konqueror.

env: Ubuntu Feisty with KDE 3.5.7
Comment 6 Martin van Es 2007-05-28 13:25:00 UTC
The online questionaire of this company at http://onderzoek.netpanel.nl/ had the exact same problems. This is such an annoying bug!
Comment 7 Martin van Es 2010-03-04 21:09:18 UTC
Closing the bug because I can't reproduce anymore
