Version: 3.5.5 (using KDE KDE 3.5.5) Installed from: Ubuntu Packages Compiler: NA NA OS: Linux I have noticed that konqueror's location bar disappears under certain circumstances. I have been able to get an exact simulation and hence I am reporting this bug now. The bug: See the following three images: My normal konqueror window looks like this: http://yamuna.asianlinux.org/~anand/kde-bugs/konq-missing-locbar-02.png The window with missing location bar looks like this: http://yamuna.asianlinux.org/~anand/kde-bugs/konq-missing-locbar-01.png The completely distorted window, when I select Settings->Toolbars->Location Toolbar looks like this: http://yamuna.asianlinux.org/~anand/kde-bugs/konq-missing-locbar-03.png Here's how I can replicate the bug consistently: - Open any webpage. Open a couple of tabs. Location bar, konq display etc all OK - Without closing konqueror, logout. Login again - Konqueror should startup and automatically reopen the URIs in tabs. - Now the location bar will be absent (see konq-missing-locbar-01.png listed above) - Try enabling location bar manually. The whole page is occupied by the location bar and the page contents are pushed out of the visible display area (see konq-missing-locbar-03.png listed above)
The bug does not manifest again, if I close all konq windows, logout and login again and start a fresh session of konqueror
I have not been able to reproduce the problem with KDE 3.5.7. Moreover the links to the images are broken. Could the reporter confirm he still experiences the bug?
